SOGA ORGANIC® was founded in 2012 and is the only certified organic citrus processor in South Africa. We only process citrus fruit from the four SOGA Growers to ensure the best quality and integrity for all our products. We produce and wholesale premium single strenght NFC (Not-from-Concentrate) juice and citrus oils. SOGA ORGANIC® exports 2000 MT of citrus juice annually to Europe and the USA. All farms and our processing plant is certified organic by Control Union.

In spite of some scepticism towards organic products, we believe the time is right and South Africans are ready. The SHIFT is happening and consumers are becoming more informed, more aware and more concerned about what they put in their mouths.

Being a predominantly fresh fruit exporter, the SOGA Growers will continue to export Class 1 & 2 fruit to Europe and Canada and class 3 fruit (under or oversized or blemished) are juiced for the wholesale market. However, a decision was made to allocate a percentage of export fruit to the local fresh fruit market and to launch the very first and only certified organic citrus juice to the local retail market.

Being a small niche operation we initially launched a pilot project in only a handful of selected Food Lovers’ Market stores in the Western Cape and Port Elizabeth. 

This number has since grown to over 250 stockists, including selected SPAR stores, Wellness Warehouse stores, Dis-Chem Pharmacies, speciality stores, deli’s, restaurants and school tuck shops in the Western Cape, Eastern Cape, Gauteng and KwaZulu Natal. December 2016 saw the launch of our third product - Frozen Lemon Juice (winner of 2018 Innovative Packaging Award), and November 2018 the launch of our fourth product – Frozen Ruby Grapefruit Juice. Another FIRST IN SA!   

SOGA ORGANIC® citrus juice is no ordinary juice, so don’t go looking for it next to all the other juices in the fridge or on the shelves.
